Fraud Awareness Campaign

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Clicking on links is risky.

Campaign date: 2024/06/13
Version 0.23

Clicking on links in messages may put your personal information at risk. Fraudsters send fake messages appearing to be from banks or courier services, asking you to click on a link to update your FICA details, access your bank statements or proofs of payment, or make payments for a parcel.

Entering your digital banking username and password or card details through a link can lead to fraud.

Tips to prevent fraud

  • Nedbank will never ask for your personal information via links.
  • Instead of clicking on a link, always type the web address into your browser.
  • Verify courier fee requests directly with the courier company.
  • Read Approve-it messages before accepting them.

If your details have been compromised

  • Change your digital banking username and password immediately via the Money app or Online Banking.
  • Forward suspicious messages to phishing@nedbank.co.za.
  • Report fraud on 0800 110 929.

By selecting I acknowledge, you confirm that you have read and understood this fraud prevention message. If you do not follow these precautions or if there is negligence on your part, your money may be lost permanently.
