Fraud Alert!

Beware of fraudsters pretending to be Nedbank employees. Protect your login details.

Fraudsters often phone clients and pretend to be Nedbank employees to trick them into revealing secret information like passwords and card PINs. Sometimes they use special software to change their caller ID so that it looks as if they are calling from the Nedbank Contact Centre. They may even use the name of someone who actually works at the Contact Centre to make you believe that you are talking to the real Nedbank employee when you are not.

  • We will never ask you for your card PIN or NedbankID password, not even a portion of it.
  • When calling back to confirm a call from Nedbank, don’t just confirm if the person works at Nedbank. Talk to the individual and check that they have indeed contacted you.
  • Do not trust caller ID.
