Former Nedbank Ke Yona Team graduate Kyle Davies is on trial at Premier League Lamontville Golden Arrows with the home of signing for the Durban-based side in this transfer window. Left-back Davies was most recently with GladAfrica Championship side Real Kings in the first half of this season, but has been given the chance to sign with a top-flight side in Abafana Bes’thende. Kyle Davies was one of the original Ke Yona Team graduates who played in the 2013 Nedbank Challenge game against Kaizer Chiefs, where the side held their illustrious opponents 0-0 before losing in the penalty shoot-out. He was snapped up by Orlando Pirates in the 2013/14 season, but did not play a game for the Buccaneers and instead forged his career elsewhere. He was on loan at second-tier Royal Eagles for the 2014/15 season and later University of Pretoria, but his big breakthrough came at Real Kings in the
2017/18 season.  He featured in 25 of their 30 league games that campaign, and was equally influential in 2018/19. However, he found the going tougher this campaign and has been allowed to find another club. In all he has made 55 appearances in league and cup, Davies is one of a number of successful graduates from the Ke Yona campaign, that also includes Aubrey Modiba (SuperSport United) and Bongani Sam (Orlando Pirates), while from last year’s class, Thulani Cele is on loan at TS Sporting from AmaZulu, while Thabiso Lebitso has signed for Chippa United.
