The Savvy Electronic Account is an electronic current bank account that offers a full range of transactional account features. You can bank when you want, where you want, for a fixed fee of just R69 a month; and because of its innovative paperless offering, it's kinder to the environment.

Who this account is for

Anyone who prefers the convenience of electronic banking channels, such as the internet, phone, cellphone, ATMs and self-service terminals (SSTs).

And because you care enough to bank without paper, this account is linked to our Green Affinity Programme.  This means that every time you make a purchase, we will make a contribution on your behalf to The Green Trust, at no cost to you.

Who can get it

• Anyone over the age of 18 years, earning a minimum salary of R3 000 a month.
• Foreign nationals are welcome to apply, but will be charged an extra maintenance fee of R30 a month.
• Only available to individuals; not to trusts, companies or legal entities

What you need to open this account
Take the following with you when you apply:

• Your green bar-coded SA identity document (or passport if you're a foreign national).
• Proof of residence, such as a utility bill, rental invoice or a phone account that has your name and physical address on it.
• Your latest salary slip or bank statements for the most recent three months.
