Nedbank celebrates its 16th year as a sponsor of the CWG and we are delighted to see the guild grow its membership to 43.
Nedbank’s offering to the winemaking industry includes the services of a dedicated agriculture unit which combines specialist industry knowledge, with years of specialist banking experience. This combination ensures that as a financial partner to the industry Nedbank is able to provide value-adding support to our clients.
The success of the Nedbank Cape Winemakers Development Trust, established in September 1999 for the benefit of disadvantaged communities within the wine growing areas of South Africa, demonstrates the value of the partnership and illustrates Nedbank’s desire to make a meaningful contribution to the communities in which we operate.
Further evidence of Nedbank’s desire towards contributing to transformation in the wine industry is evidenced through our support for further education through the CWG Protégé Programme, which was launched in 2006, with the aim of cultivating and nurturing winemakers from previously disadvantaged groups.
